Get all touchy feely with printing

Who doesn’t appreciate something that feels pleasing in the hands? I know for me it’s a beagles velvety soft ears, or a soft blanket to snuggle into on a cold night. It’s also the velvet coated specialist business cards that I hand out to clients. Because even though it’s just a small piece of my business, and I know, I know, people are all about digital nowadays, but everything that has my brand on it needs to reflect what my brand is about. Besides if you’ve had the pleasure of getting one of my smooth to the touch business cards, you can’t deny that they scream quality, maybe even luxury.
Why even use a business card nowadays?
I’m glad you asked, for me its about being able to show some of my design prowess. Its also a very convenient way to give people my details without having to use my phone (I don’t care that it’s the norm now, I still feel rude whipping out my phone when talking to someone). It also doubles as a sample of my ‘wares’ and is an opportunity to show them that I am invested in what I do. Plus I secretly love the surprised and impressed reactions I get at the secret surprise on the front of my cards.

Oh sure you can get the traditional rectangular cards, but you don’t have to.
What if I told you there is no longer an additional cost to print your cards double sided in full colour? With the process and digital printers out there today, the cost doesn’t vary between black and colour. Plus you can get your cards in almost any shape you desire as well.
Want a business card in the shape of a house? No dramas. What about a car? Yup can do those too.
The really fun ones are the ones with colour sandwiched between the white stock. They’re also a whopping 750gsm! You will definitely be the envy of your competition with those out and about promoting your brand.
The better the quality, the less likely someone is to throw your card in the bin.
You may as well make it a talking point in your customers home/office or wherever they may need your product.

Todays printing methods are so much more economical than it was even 15 years ago. Commercial printers put a lot of thought into how sustainable their methods are. We work with Australian printers that have a proven commitment to minimising their environmental footprint by operating in an environmentally responsible manner. I know that when I send a clients work to my commercial printer that they are not only using the latest and efficient technologies to process my clients order, they are also actively considering the environment when sourcing their materials. That can not be said for all printers so I would recommend you shop around and ask the following questions: Does my printer have an environmental policy that they can supply?
Do they use recycled stock?
Do they monitor their environmental performance and can supply a report?
By getting answers to those questions you can make an informed choice as a consumer.
